Nosotros took inspiration from Disney's classic fairy tale turned blockbuster film. Recollect enchanted rose arrangements, tea sets that double as decor, and our own delectable version of "the gray stuff."

Tale as old as time, right? You've likely heard the story, and virtually certainly seen the moving picture — as a child and now, possibly with your own children. So anyone would agree that reliving the story ofBeauty and the Beast is a happy family affair, oui?

For our infant shower, we found inspiration in ii honey characters who befit the female parent-child theme: Mrs. Potts and Scrap. The Motherly Mrs. Potts and her perky (if non lovably naive) son Bit go the focal point of this tea political party. Our table is steeped in grown-up glamour: dressed in buttery yellowish linens, a modern tea prepare, gold flatware, and royal blueish napkins. At the tabular array, we opted for a modern accept on Mrs. Potts and Chip. The teapot is a minimalist white that pairs nicely with all-pink teacups, each served with a matching saucer. The tea bags — printed with the name of each guest — double every bit place cards.

Flowers That Last Forever

An enchanted rose — preserved in a glass cloche — sound, familar? Nosotros like the idea of displaying a few arrangements of various heights for calibration, but it cannot be denied that a single tall garden cloche makes a captivating centerpiece. Reverse to the motion picture, our arrangements get a slightly more wild, overgrown look with greenery — English ivy, leafy ferns — that looks freshly plucked from the woodlands exterior, say... a magical castle?

Familiar Faces

Take a closer look at the tabular array. We placed small homages to characters from the storyline, including yellow frosted candle votives, a teapot, and this vintage clock, displayed atop a pile of library books. (Nosotros think Belle would especially approve of the concluding decorative choice.)

Bon Appétit

There are a few "must-serve" items when it comes to tea time. One of those is the classic tea sandwich. Whether your preference is difficult-cooked egg, smoked salmon, prosciutto, or a selection of all iii, guests will love to gobble them upward.

Awaiting each guest, a place setting provides everything needed for the afternoon: individual plates, gilt flatware, a tea loving cup, and the carte list the sweets and treats to come.

Serving Sweetness

The Cake

This tiered buttercream creation from Nine Cakes is bedecked truthful to the theme down to the smallest details: a buttery yellow color alike to Belle's ball gown and a diamond mosaic pattern in pretty pastels. Crowning the meridian tier, another teacup. (Could you ever imagine then many uses for a cup?)

Adding to the grandeur, the cake is displayed in front of a window treated with stained drinking glass effect.

The Cupcakes

Enchanted roses aren't the only blooms to brand a cameo at this baby shower. These picayune beauties are carefully busy — petal by petal — to take on the appearance of your favorite bloom. (Recall that line?) Our "grayness stuff" is tea-infused water ice cream. Keep a bootleg batch chilled in the freezer earlier guests arrive, and and so equally the political party winds downwardly to dessert, scoop and serve in pink teacups. Guests can make their own creations with a mix-and-match assortment of chocolate, chewy, and candied toppings. For an added feel of elegance, we like the idea of serving an all-gilded selection of sweets, such as these gold-foil wrapped chocolate-caramel assurance.

Parting Gifts

As a special "thank y'all" to each of your guests, offering them these handmade tea-handbag envelopes. Each one comes with an individual serving of loose-leaf tea — from a custom alloy of vanilla, earl greyness, and dried rose buds — and is paired with a tiny gold-plated spoon, and tied in a pretty satin bow.
